Global temperatures high this year

The latest findings for 2010 underline the significance climate change may have for people and planet. Manmade climate change is already having a profound impact in certain regions of the globe, but the projections and the latest statistics point towards this impact becoming more much serious and much more widely felt.
The US National Snow and Ice Data Centre indicated that the Artic ice has melted at a much faster pace than usual in 2010. The statistics they released demonstrated that melting began sooner than normal in March, and they expected the process to last into September. Meteorologists have informed ‘The Guardian’ that global surface temperatures have been very high in the first few months of the year. Hence it would appear that the latest climate news is far from reassuring. While it is always important not to be carried away by one or two data sets, it does continue to appear that ‘climate change deniers’ may have their work cut out in the years to come.
