Very few people are unaware that Great Britain is a country run by rules and regulations. What people must seriously think about is what the consequences of lawlessness would be.

The placement of the skip is important, as you will need a permit if it is not placed on your property. Your local council will advise you and provide you with the needed permit if necessary. Two things to remember when you hire a skip; never overfill it as you will be held responsible for damages.
Always be on the look out for fly-tippers as if given opportunity, people will dump their waste in your skip to avoid spending money. The laws governing skip hire and waste disposal are not unreasonable. It is easy to comply with them and save yourself trouble and money as long as you know what they are beforehand.
