All shapes and sizes

Unless you either happen to have a particular interest in skips or work in the skip hire industry, you probably won’t have noticed how many different types and sizes exist, or indeed just how many are out and about in use.

Skips are commonplace around the UK, although the majority are probably skips in permanent sites and being utilised by businesses. When looking at short term skip hire, a selection from the total range of skips ever designed will not be available. However, when using Simpsons Skip Hire of London, there is a broad range of sizes and types of skip that should suit any needs you have.

We are able to offer small skips that will do the same sort of job as a large sized car trailer, but without the hassles of queuing at the local tip and having to sort out your own rubbish.

Next up are six and eight yard builders skips. These are the most popular skips due to providing a good balance between size for those bigger projects, and also easier access than the small skip. A tiny skip requires all waste to be lifted in over the sides, whereas a builder’s skip has walk in access, making it much easier when dealing with either heavy or loose waste in a wheelbarrow.

Builders’ skips then grow into the less common 12 and 16 yard sizes before entering the world of giant roll-on, roll-off skips which are unlikely to be employed for any domestic projects.
