Skips are just great
Skips are quite simply, the best way to get rid of rubbish. It doesn’t matter how environmentally conscious you are, it is extremely uncommon to find anybody who relishes the idea of sorting their rubbish out into all the different types of recyclable material. This isn’t to say that we don’t care or understand the importance of doing so; it is just to say it is difficult if the quantity of waste is substantial.
Skips are so great because, unlike the non-fattening cream cake or the healthy portion of chips, skips aren’t a delusion; they’re real. You really can just dump all of your waste in one big container and be done with it.
However, much as this simplicity is a great bonus, the good thing is that your waste still gets properly recycled. There are certain materials and items that either cannot go in skips, or can be better disposed of through specialist recycling centres, but as a general rule most waste can and does regularly move all around the UK in skips. Not just in skips, but in skips that have more or less been filled without any particular care. Arguably, that’s just the way most of us like it.
